Brentney Hamilton Recommends

One of Dallas’ most beautiful neighborhoods provides a classy backdrop for this outdoor market, which takes place on the third Saturdays of October, November and December. Browse succulent arrangements by Urban Spikes, stock up on healthy breakfast blends from White Rock Granola and taste Mother Beverage, which specializes in vegan, probiotic, naturally-flavored sparkling waters, among more than 30 high-end artisan vendors. Our recommendation: Go hungry, not just to shop. There will be breakfast items, tamales and more, ready to eat on site. You’ll also find interactive games for children, plus face painting and live entertainment by local musicians. October’s market features a special Garden & Gun pop-up, providing “a unique shopping experience inspired by the pages of the iconic lifestyle magazine,” organizers say.

Shop a curated collection of handcrafted food and goods companies and experience live music and entertainment for the whole family, all while supporting neighboring entrepreneurs.

With more than 25 vendors featured in the spring and fall, guests may peruse everything from seasonal jellies made from local produce and sustainably sourced leather goods, to freshly baked quiches, and handspun ceramics. Fun children’s crafts and live acoustic performances by local talent make for the perfect family outing, with a new twist on featured activations each month for everyone to enjoy.

Seasonal schedule:
Saturday, March 23 – Shop the first market of spring
Saturday, April 20 – Easter celebration featuring photos with live bunnies
Saturday, May 18 – Spring Shopping Stroll with exclusive shopping and dining offers, and promotions around Highland Park Village throughout the day
Saturday, June 15 – Final summer soiree of the season

Following the spring market series, LOCAL will resume in the fall on the third Saturday of the month from September to November 2019. A third annual holiday market is set to take place in December. For more information, visit hpvillage.com/LOCAL.
