Give the Instant Pot the night off. That shiny pressure cooker can’t compete with the pitmaster at this downtown Plano spot, named one of the state’s top 50 barbecue restaurants by Texas Monthly. Smoke Camp is a two-hour class that will teach everything you need to know to cook brisket from scratch at home, including what to ask for from the butcher, applying the rub, how long to let it rest, and getting the right amount of “jiggle.”

Smoke Camp includes your first beer on us, about an hour of instruction time with our Texas Monthly award winning pitmasters, curriculum, Q&A time, appetizers, a Lockhart Smokehouse t-shirt and an all around good time.
