This little piggy… Well, sorry, folks, but he’s going to be delicious. Cochon is the French word for pig, and Cochon555 is a nose-to-tail, whole-hog cooking competition. The numbers represent five teams of competing chefs, the five heritage-breed pigs they’ll cook and five winemakers. For the inaugural North Texas event, the competitors will be LAW Restaurant’s Christof Syré, Petra and the Beasts’ Misti Norris, Lucia’s David Uygur, FT33’s Matt McCallister and Mirador’s Josh Sutcliff and Junior Borges. Ticket-holders will get to taste and vote for the pork dishes. Spring for VIP tickets to taste entries when five bartenders make bourbon cocktails by the bowl during Punch Kings. (There's also five wine experts competing in Somm Smackdown). The fundraising feast will also include a cheese bar, a pop-up pie shop, rosés, pâté, tartare, Texas Twinkies from Hutchins BBQ and more delectable dishes.
