Highland Park Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

A Highland Park tradition first started in 1927, the big pecan tree on Armstrong Parkway, just west of Preston Road, will light up for the holidays with 5,000 multi-colored lights. Pre-ceremony offerings include a live reindeer, face painting and a photo bus.

At 7 p.m. the mayor will flip the switch and the Highland Park High School Lads and Lassies will sing Christmas carols. Santa will arrive on a big red fire truck.
