This event has already happened

Late Nights at the DMA is a monthly festivity featuring performances, concerts, film screenings, tours, family activities and more. The November event falls during the museum’s three-day Islamic Art Festival and, as a special festival perk, features free admission. In line with the festival’s theme, this month’s Late Night highlights the Keir Collection of Islamic Art. Museumgoers can listen to artist Ambreen Butt discuss the tradition of miniature painting (6:30 p.m.), watch the Nomad Dancers perform traditional folkloric dances (8 p.m.) and learn all about Turkey’s largest city from author Thomas Madden as he discusses his latest book, Istanbul: City of Majesty at the Crossroads of the World (9 p.m.).

6 p.m. to midnight.
