Flicks by Chicks Film Fest

See 8 of the best short films by women filmmakers in Texas and beyond at the 16th annual Flicks by Chicks Film Fest presented by Women in Film Dallas.

The short films will be screened at the Alamo Draft House in Dallas followed by awards and cocktails in the theater's rooftop bar.

Earlier in the day, the festival presents a luncheon (at 1 p.m.) and Script to Screen workshop (at 3 p.m.) at "Casa Stellina," a setting for the filmed-in-Dallas TV show Queen of the South.

Tickets are $15 for the screening; $35 for the workshop; $35 for the luncheon; and $75 for a VIP pass.

Part 2 of the film fest is scheduled for Nov. 4 at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas.
