Yayoi Kusama: All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins

Oct 1, 2017 - Apr 28, 2018

“Yayoi Kusama: All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins” comprises a mirror-covered room filled with yellow pumpkins dressed in black polka dots. According to the museum, the installation features “the only Infinity Mirror Room of its kind in a North American collection.” Exhibit visitors — two at a time — can step into the room and experience the display for 45 seconds. Photography with cellphones and small personal cameras is allowed.

Due to the popularity of the artist and the installation's limited amount of space, all visitors must have a timed ticket with a specific time slot. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.

$16, $14 for seniors 65 and older and military with valid ID, $12 for students with valid ID, free for DMA members and children 11 and younger. Those who qualify for free admission still require a free timed ticket.

An adult holding a child or with a child in a carrier counts as the two people in the room. Each child 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult into the installation. Adults must purchase an additional ticket to enter the installation with each child.

Tickets are released to the public on the third Monday of every month for the upcoming month. March tickets will go on sale Feb. 19, and April will be available March 19.
