Take your fiddle, dobro, harmonica or banjo for an informal acoustic pickin’ session with new friends at Farmers Branch Historical Park or pitch a picnic blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live music by more than a dozen professional bluegrass acts, including headliners Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder on Oct. 19 and the Del McCoury Band on Oct. 20. Other entertainment includes an artisan marketplace, festival concessions (including beer and wine) and a kids’ zone featuring bounce houses, glitter tattoos, inflatables and a petting zoo.

Update: The festival has moved indoors to the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West, 1590 LBJ Freeway. Because of limited space at the new venue, festival tickets are no longer available. However, "Stay & Play" hotel packages are still available and include entrance to the festival.
Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and the Del McCoury Band return to headline this award-winning bluegrass music festival, a two-day event that combines great music with kids activities, arts & crafts marketplace and delicious concessions. Festival-goers can bring their own acoustic instruments and pick with friends in several shady jamming areas throughout the park.
