Night Hike Owl Prowl at

Brentney Hamilton Recommends

It’s easy to see why owls make their homes in the Great Trinity Forest, but it’s less easy to actually see them, unless you’re willing to meet these nocturnal raptors on their own time. This guided tour invites hikers to use other important senses by calling and listening for such winged woodland inhabitants before settling in for tasty s’mores around a toasty campfire.

Visitors will take a guided night hike through the Great Trinity Forest and explore how our senses change with the setting of the sun. We will learn how nocturnal animals have adapted to the night life. Guests will search and call for the owl species that call Dallas home. The night will end roasting s’mores over the fire.

$15 if purchased in advance, $20 at the door. Dress appropriately for the weather, close-toed, sturdy shoes are high recommended. Bring a flashlight or borrow one of ours. In the event of extreme weather, Audubon may cancel programming.
