For its 34th year, the Dallas gay pride celebration will span two days with a festival in Reverchon Park on Saturday, Sept. 16, and the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The annual parade is a celebration of equality featuring a sea of rainbow flags, decorated parade floats, music, and colorful beads tossed to the crowd Mardi Gras-style. The parade gets underway at 2 p.m., traveling down Cedar Springs from Wycliff to Turtle Creek Blvd, ending in Lee Park. The parade is free for spectators.
