Easter in the Park and Pooch Parade at Oak Lawn Park
Brentney Hamilton Recommends
How many traditions in Dallas have lasted more than 50 years? We're guessing it's the dogs in costumes that keep locals coming back year after year for this favorite hometown festival. (But, then again, it could be the candy or cute kiddos.)
Dress your pups in their Sunday best and strut down Turtle Creek Boulevard for the annual Pooch Parade, where prizes for best costume will be awarded in several categories. Registration starts at 1 p.m. and the parade starts at 2 p.m. Registration is $10 per costume entry in advance, $15 at the event. Each (dog) entry must be accompanied by at least one (human) adult. Visit website to register your dog.
