Rally up friends, family, co-workers and fellow wine-o’s for a fun filled day of running, wine, food, music and activities at the Wine Down Relay on March 26, hosted by Social Running and Waterside.

The 18-mile relay will kick-off at Waterside, the new 63-acre mixed-use property at Bryant Irvin Road and Arborlawn Drive. The course will take teams of two or four runners on a 4.5-mile loop along the Trinity River, including down the new side of the trails in the recently completed extension and over the new pedestrian bridge.

After the relay, registered runners and non-runners alike can celebrate with live music; on-site wine tastings from five local wineries including Lost Oak Winery, Times Ten Cellars, Cadillac Wines, Lightcatcher Winery, and Marker Cellars; additional drinks by Whole Foods Market; food from Taco Diner; and activities provided by Waterside tenants and community groups.

Registration is available for both four-person and two-person teams. Each runner will receive a finisher corkscrew medal, souvenir wine glass, and t-shirt. For those wine-o’s who only want to participate in the wine tasting portion of the event, $20 Wine Passes are available and include five tasting tickets, a souvenir wine glass and admission to the after-race party. Proceeds will benefit local nonprofit Streams & Valleys.
