Dallas Opera Simulcast of Madame Butterfly

The Dallas Opera will host its 15th annual free simulcast "Madame Butterfly" outdoors on the 2,270-square-foot video board on the Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star in Frisco. The classic Italian opera by Giacomo Puccini will be simulcast live from the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the Dallas Arts District.

The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. hosted by KLUV Radio’s Jody Dean and the Dallas Opera’s Education Program Senior Manager Kristian Roberts. Activities include Family Fun Zone, contests, behind-the-scenes interviews, and a WB Classics cartoon. The Opera performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Free general admission tickets can be obtained online at dallasopera.org/simulcast or by calling 214-443-1000. The public is encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot. This is an outdoor venue and patrons should bring their own low-rise lawn chairs or blankets. Parking is free and concessions will be available on site.
