Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at a City of Dallas-sponsored parade featuring high school bands, floats, community/civic groups, churches and a live radio broadcast. New Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson will be grand marshal. There is only one parade this year.

Parade route: Begins at MLK Blvd. at Holmes St., proceeds East on MLK Blvd. to Fair Park.

This is the final event in the 35th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration which also includes a Community Fair, Candelight Ceremony and Awards Banquet and business mixer. The theme of the 2017 celebration is "Breaking the Chains of Injustice." All activities are free and open to the public, except the banquet which requires ticket purchase.
