The hilarious holiday comedy Santa Claus vs. the Martians returns for a fourth time, again directed by the play’s author Andi Allen.

The play, based on the 1960s infamously bad cult movie Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, was created by Allen in 2010 for Level Ground Arts. The show was a critical hit, which prompted LGA to revive the show in 2012. This latest incarnation is being produced by Camp Death Productions at the Margo Jones Theatre in Fair Park.

The play recreates many of the hilariously bad acting moments and low budget props from the original film, as Martian leader Kimar kidnaps Earth’s Santa Claus in order to bring happiness and laughter to the children of Mars. Opposing Kimar in his plan are Martian villain Voldar, as well as two Earth children, Billy and Betty Foster.

Three cast members from the original 2010 production are returning: Alexis Nabors, Rhonda Durant and Jordan Pokladnik. In addition, several actors from the 2014 revival are recreating their roles: Bill Otstott, Joel Frapart, Steve Roberts, Kevin Fuld and Michael B. Moore. New cast members joining the comic mayhem include Natalia Borja, Jeny Siddall, Nathan David Willard, Amir Razavi, Rodney Morris and Zachary Cooper.

Each time Santa has returned, Allen has added new jokes to keep the show fresh. This year is no different, with jokes added to fit the new cast members.
