If you're like me then once Thanksgiving is over you officially embrace the Christmas season. That means Christmas decorations, movies, and especially lights! Vitruvian Lights is one of my favorite spots to hit during the holidays. It feels magical as you walk through all the brightly colored trees throughout the park. And if you stop by during the next three Saturdays this month, you'll get to also enjoy free live music!
On Nov. 25, the lights will be turned on during a spectacular lighting ceremony as Addison Mayor Todd Meier flips the switch at 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music by the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, free photos with Santa, an elf balloon artist, food trucks and holiday cuisine. Drinks and spirits are available for purchase, along with retail booths for gift browsing.
Vitruvian Lights will remain on each and every evening through Jan. 1, 2017. Enjoy the stunning view during a holiday stroll and plan to attend these free Magical Nights of Lights with special musical performances:
Saturday, Dec. 3, 6 p.m. - Dallas String Quartet
Saturday, Dec. 10, 6 p.m.– Chris Rivers Band
Saturday, Dec. 17, 6 p.m. – The Georgia Bridgewater Orchestra
Magical Nights of Lights are outdoor evening events, FREE and open to the public. Mingle with family and friends, take a photo with Santa, dance and sing along to your favorite holiday songs, and browse through the holiday shopping village for gifts. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from gourmet food trucks on Magical Nights of Lights. FREE parking available at Vitruvian Park and additional event parking locations.
