Classic Christmas tunes are the centerpiece of the new holiday exhibit at the Bush Center, which runs Nov. 17 through Jan. 8, 2017.

In 2004, then First Lady Laura Bush chose "Merriment and Melody" as the White House holiday theme. That celebration will be recreated at the Bush Center with holiday music, photographs and videos of the White House's holiday decor, original White House decorations, and the Center's 18-foot Christmas tree, a replica of the White House tree.

The Center’s Freedom Hall will feature a holiday video and the entire complex will be decorated with thousands of twinkling lights, wreaths and Christmas trees.

Several special events have been scheduled during the exhibit's run including Deck the Halls Black Friday which offers after-hours family fun and photos with Santa Claus in the Oval Office, Nov. 25, 3-6 p.m. Musical performances are scheduled on Dec. 2, 9, 16.

The exhibit is free with admission to the the Bush Center: $16 for adults, $13 for ages 62+, $14 for ages 13-17, $10 for children 5-12, free for children 4 years and under. Discounts offered at the door for college students, military and more.
