Roger Waters at American Airlines Center

Despite the occasional rumor, legendary British band Pink Floyd probably won’t ever fully reunite. And that’s not all bad, as long as the band’s co-founder and conceptual leader Roger Waters continues to tour. A couple of years ago, the politically-outspoken 73-year-old toured the world performing Pink Floyd’s classic 1979 album The Wall, but he’s looking more forward these days. The critically-lauded Is This the Life We Really Want? is Waters’ first solo studio record since 1992 and provides a clear collection of psych- and soul-tinged guitar rock -- the kind that’s perfect for the arenas Waters has called home for more than five decades.
