Too Fresh Productions, in conjunction with Josey Records and the Keep Spinning DJ Academy, are partnering up for a day to teach kids a bit about the world of vinyl records and record digging. From handling a record, putting a needle on a record, and learning different components of a turntable, kids will be guided/instructed by a number of DJs from around D-FW.
There will be scratch demos, DJ showcases, interactive DJ set ups, kids “sampling” station with some DFW music producers, and free food for kids while it lasts. In addition to the interactive set ups, there will be different types of niche vinyl accessories and gear that kids will get to touch and see, from vintage and portable record players, to odd and colored vinyl records. Josey records will also be bringing out a number of hands on items from their manufacturing plant as well as a visual guide to “how records are made” at their facility.
It is free to attend and all ages are welcome.
