This event has already happened

In 1941, construction began on The Kessler Theater – making 2016 the building’s 75th anniversary. After tornadoes, fires, and periods of abandon, the modern incarnation of The Kessler proudly operates as an acclaimed music venue and event space. Join us for an open house to visit and celebrate the history of the facility. Our bar will be open and we will feature performers from the community in both the lobby and main theater space.

Decadent Dub Team began back in 1985, at a time when hip-hop and industrial noise were both very much subversive, underground forms of music. The Deep Ellum neighborhood east of downtown Dallas was just beginning a sort of artistic reclamation as well, and DDT founders Jeffrey Liles and Paul Quigg were right in the middle of that.

A quarter of a century later, Quigg and Liles have dedicated most of their time and energy to the resurrection of The Kessler Theater in North Oak Cliff. The occasional Decadent Dub Team reunion show here is a chance to blow off some steam, to have some fun with old friends again. It's a chance to revisit the spirit of adventure, and sonic collision of media and art.
