Texas Lifestyle Collective: Eddie Ross

Texas Lifestyle Collective: Eddie Ross at

A gathering for those inspired by home decor, fashion and culinary arts, Texas Lifestyle Collective presents a speakers series from 1- 5 p.m. The main speaker will be Eddie Ross, a trained chef and the East Coast editor of Better Homes & Gardens magazine. He has worked in design, decorating and as a food editor for House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living and the Food Network. He also appeared in Bravo’s interior design competition series Top Design and produces entertaining specials for HGTV.

Ross will present his inventive, out-of-the-box approach to high-style decorating and entertaining on a budget by demonstrating aesthetic possibilities with secondhand items. It's the approach presented in his new book, Modern Mix: Curating Personal Style with Chic & Accessible Finds. VIP ticket holders will get a copy of the book and access to an after-event cocktail party at The Doves Nest.

Also on the program is a morning Marketplace (opening at 10 a.m.) with hand-picked vendors in Getzendaner Park. In addition to Ross, speakers include Caroline Harper-Knapp, founder and curator behind House of Harper, and outdoor camping afficionado Janine Pettit.
