Bob Wills Fiddle Festival and Contest: Asleep at the Wheel / Dale Watson / Time Jumpers

Asleep at the Wheel, Dale Watson, The Time Jumpers featuring Vince Gill are the headliners for Greenville's 3rd annual celebration of Bob Wills, bandleader of the legendary Texas Playboys and the King of Western Swing. The four-day fest takes place Oct. 6-9 in downtown Greenville.

Thursday, Oct. 6:
• Dinner and dance (at Landon Winery)

Friday, Oct. 7, 7:30 p.m.:
• Asleep at the Wheel, Dale Watson, The Jason Roberts Band joined by Texas Playboy Leon Rausch, known as the voice of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys in the late 1950s and early ’60s. $36-$56.

Saturday, Oct. 8:
• All-ages fiddle contest preliminaries; performances by the Jason Roberts Band and others on an outdoor stage. FREE
• 7:30 p.m. - Time Jumpers, featuring Vince Gill, Kenny Sears, “Ranger Doug” Green and Paul Franklin. $35-$55.
