This event has already happened

Red, White and Boom kicks off Independence Day with a parade (at 10 a.m.) and classic car, truck and cycle show (1-5 p.m.) in Historic Downtown McKinney. The parade starts and ends at Henry & Tennessee St. There will be good viewing on either Tennessee or Kentucky St. Families can also explore the many dining and shopping options that downtown has to offer. Activities are free.

The 2016 theme for the parade is “Going 4 Gold - USA all the way!” to celebrate our nation's independence and salute our Olympic team as they prepare for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

In the evening, Red, White & Boom action moves to McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch for food, music and a big fireworks display.
