Get your fill of food, art, music and family fun over three days as Taste of Dallas celebrates its 30th annual event. Take a trip to Restaurant Island, which will have more than 45 food booths offering tastes from Mediterranean to Mexican to Indian to Cajun, with tastings priced from $2 to $5. More-devoted foodies can buy a ticket to the Foodie Experience, which includes food tastings; wine, spirit and craft-beer samples; a mixology bar; and a birthday cake designed by Carlo’s Bakery from the TLC show Cake Boss. Also at the fest: chef demos; an Etsy Dallas Artisan Market, with more than 50 creative types displaying their handcrafted wares; a gallery with modern and contemporary art in various media; a chalk alley, where 45 street artists will demo their talents; live music on multiple stages; and a free, indoor kids’ zone complete with jugglers, magicians, luchadores and other kid-friendly fun. --Sara Frederick Burgos/Guide

Admission: General admission tickets are $14 in advance at area Albertsons, Fiesta, Tom Thumb and Walgreens; $20 at the gate. Free for kids 11 years and younger with paying parent/guardian.


Restaurant Island: Indulge in local and international tastings priced from $2 to $5.

Foodie Experience: Upgraded ticket holders can enjoy artisan tastings paired with beverage samples and accompanied by music. Open 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. $40 per person in advance, $50 at the gate. Kids 5-13 are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate. Includes general admission into Taste of Dallas.

Club TT (Taste Tavern): Enjoy spirits while listening to DJ beats on light-up headphones for some silent dancing. The $10 entry fee includes five samples from the mixologists. Add another five for $5 or purchase from the cash bar. Open 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Chef Demo Stage: Celebrity chefs will show off their skills, and audience members can interact with them and taste their creations.

Food Truck Lane: Dallas food trucks will be parked here, selling food for $2 to $5.

Taste Marketplace: Taste samples while shopping a selection of contemporary brands, vendors, artisans and craftsmen.

The Mercado: More than 20 multicultural brands will be offering samples and selling items.

Health and Wellness Hub: Visit to learn how to improve well-being and live a longer, stronger, happier life.

Etsy Dallas Artisan Market: Shop more than 50 Dallas-based small businesses selling hand-made and artist-inspired items.

The Gallery: This artist enclave will showcase original works in a variety of media.

Art Live: Watch artists create works live.

We Talk Chalk Art Alley: Watch 45 chalk artists create 3-D art on asphalt.

Kids Zone: There will be 15,000 square feet of indoor, interactive performances and activities, including inflatables and a rock climbing wall.

Carnival and Midway: Visit Fair Park's outdoor rides and games. Tickets can be purchased onsite.

The Main Stage: All concerts are included in the price of festival admission.
