Hundreds of elite "pullers" are set to compete for the World Armwrestling League’s 2016 Southern Regional Championship. These men and women competitors are soldiers, firefighters, bankers, engineers, teachers and stay-at-home parents; and they’re all united in their love of pulling and their desire to be the best. They spent the year battling through WAL Qualifier tourneys across North America to earn an invite to Dallas.
If they survive this sweaty, chalk-handed gauntlet, they’ll ice their biceps and head to Las Vegas for the WAL 2016 Championships on ESPN this summer. There, they will battle the best from the Northern and European Regionals and pull for their piece of the six-figure prize money pool.
The action kicks off at 1 p.m. with Amateur & Women’s competition, followed by Pro Classes.
Pro arm-wrestling is an extremely intense and exciting live event. It's also a welcoming environment for anyone down to hoist some day beers and spend an afternoon watching America’s next big thing. The WAL is taking the arm-wrestling subculture mainstream, so come see what we're all about.
