Shatterproof, a nonprofit focused on ending addiction, will host the first-ever public rappel off of the iconic Reunion Tower in Dallas on May 21.

The 50-story rappel off Reunion Tower is very limited, so interested individuals should sign up soon to reserve a spot for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Individuals will also rappel 10-stories from the Hyatt Grand Regency Dallas. About 100 people are expected to rappel, with hundreds of supporters joining them at the site to change the conversation about addiction.

Registration is $35; increasing to $60 on May. 1. Fundraising goal is $1,000. The goal of the event is to raise funds to enable Shatterproof to develop and support effective, evidence-based addiction prevention, treatment and recovery programs.

This year marks the third annual Shatterproof Challenge Rappel. Last year the event raised over $2 million at events in cities across the country. This year, thousands of people will rappel down buildings in cities including Austin, Washington, D.C., Orange County, Hartford, Fairfield County and Los Angeles; the series kicks off in Dallas.

Shatterproof is a national nonprofit organization committed to protecting our loved ones from addiction to prescription and illicit drugs and alcohol and ending the stigma and suffering of those affected by this disease. Gary Mendell founded Shatterproof after he lost his son to addiction.
