Yes, it's is a spooky cemetery tour on Halloween weekend but this walking tour will draw you in with amazing backstories of the dearly departed. You'll recognize the names on many of the graves, because these long ago movers and shakers have Dallas streets and parks named for them. Relatives of billionaire Howard Hughes are buried here and so is one Annie Lawther, who some say still haunts White Rock Lake as the Lady of the Lake.

Since 1892, Oakland Cemetery has been the permanent resting place of some of Dallas’ most colorful characters. Learn their stories during this unique tour that includes character performances, amidst some of the finest funeral statuary to be found anywhere. Presented by the Dallas Historical Society in partnership with Dallas Heritage Village. Tours start at 1 and 3 p.m. at the cemetery.
