Take a trip back to the seminal music scene of the 1960s in this modern day musical classic set in the Motown era that brought us powerhouse voices like Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and more. Dreamgirls explodes from the stage with legendary songs and timeless appeal. Directed by DTC's Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell, Dreamgirls will feature a stellar cast including Alexis Sims as Deena Jones, Marisha Wallace (Broadway production of Something Rotten!) as Effie White, and Kristen Bond (Stagger Lee) as Lorrell. Other highlights include choreography by Rickey Tripp and Music Director Michael O. Mitchell, the current Music Director for Amatuer Night at the world's famous Apollo Theater.
Dreamgirls will begin with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Friday, June 10 with tickets on sale online beginning Friday, June 3.
