Grapevine’s Nash Farm will host Frugal Farm Wife, a series of educational and interpretive programs, starting in January and taking place monthly through November 2016. The series features family-friendly educational experiences designed to teach life skills that were important to a Texas farm in the 19th century.

Participants will have the opportunity to see period-clothed interpreters performing seasonal chores using tools and techniques of the era such as sewing, spinning, dying, cooking, washing, gardening, harvesting, preserving, candle making and many other household chores. This open-house setting allows guests to discuss the activities with the interpreters. Involvement will be encouraged when possible. Pre-registration is encouraged and a participation fee of $3 per person is required.
