Come one, come all to the Truck Yard Christmas, as everyone’s favorite Lowest Greenville-area bar celebrates the season on December 12th as only the Truck Yard can. That means hot cocktails, ugly sweaters and, back by popular demand, a miniature Santa.
Beginning at 2:00 p.m. and running until 11:00 p.m. there will be a toy drive, so please swing by to brighten a child’s Christmas this year. As an added incentive, the first 50 guests who bring in a new, unwrapped toy will receive a free cheesesteak sandwich, making it the toy drive that keeps on giving.
At 7:30 p.m., "The Dwarf Guy" (www.thedwarfguy.com) Eddie Zanetti will be arriving with a dwarf Santa to hand out presents and take photos to improve your Instagram feed. Santa will be joined by 42-inch American Horror Story star Drew Varick, who will be wearing his festive Santa Yoda hat—with corresponding ears and ugly sweater—as his appearance in Dallas is just six days before the new Star Wars movie. Drew will be available for photo ops and autographs in addition to acting as a celebrity judge for the ugly sweater contest.
The contest begins at 9:00 p.m. All who wish to participate will congregate on the Truck Yard’s outdoor stage to show off their most hideous holiday sweaters. Contestants should prepare to be judged, mocked and also admired for their dedication to these itchy, ill-conceived crimes against wool, with the winner receiving a $200 Truck Yard gift certificate.
And since everyone will require good libations throughout the day and evening, the Truck Yard will be serving its new winter cocktail menu, which includes a Herman Marshall Hot Toddy as well as Spiked Motor Sisters Coffee, Chai or Cocoa.
