This event has already happened

O’zapft is (“the keg is tapped”), so grab your running shoes and join Rahr & Sons for the 6th annual Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk! Attendees will enjoy live German Polka music, as well as Bavarian treats and craft beer samples in a festive “biergarten.” All participating runners will receive a commemorative pint glass and dry-fit t-shirt.

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will be the special guest for the keg tapping ceremony, and six lucky men and women will be randomly selected to participate in a stein-hoisting competition to win Rahr & Sons swag. Costumes are highly encouraged, and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed.

This year’s event will benefit the Fort Worth Police Officers’ Award Foundation, an organization that recognizes and promotes the professionalism and excellence of Fort Worth police officers. To date, the Oktoberfest 5K has raised more than $40,000 to benefit Tarrant County charities.
