If you are a State Fair fan, this is what you wait for all year long. Get off the train, get through the line at the entrance gate and make a beeline for Fletcher's. Grab a frosty root beer and say "Howdy" to Big Tex. Now it's time to enjoy the day.

The theme for 2015 is "Passport to Texas," and special activities will include concerts on the Main Stage and two college football games. Daily activities include the Starlight Parade at 7 p.m. and the Illumination Sensation lights and fireworks show at 8 p.m.
