2015 Addison Kaboom Town at Addison Circle Park
Ann Pinson Recommends
Some of the best local fireworks celebrating the Fourth are actually on July 3. Addison goes all out for Kaboom Town, its award-winning fireworks show. For example, the 30th annual celebration will feature a group of skydivers diving with a massive American flag during the air show. The fireworks display goes on for an impressive 30 minutes. And party band Emerald City will keep the folks gathered at Addison Circle Park dancing the night away as they wait for the post-show traffic to disperse.
Top-rated July 4th festival includes an airshow (7:15 p.m.), fireworks (9:35 p.m.), live entertainment from the 36th Infantry Division Concert Band and the Dallas Wind Symphony, food and drinks.
A Family Fun Zone will keep the kids entertained with carnival rides, bubble runners, face painting and temporary body art. Wristbands are available for $25.
Admission to Kaboom Town is first come, first served. No ticket is required. Go here for a schedule of events and other general info.
Watch Parties: Many Addison restaurants will host Watch Parties with special menus, outdoor seating, music and great views of the fireworks show.
