Hugworks Concert at First Christian Church
A free program with songs of healing and hope for children and families with medical and emotional challenges. Guitarists-singers Jim Newton, director of programs and founder of Hugworks, and Paul Hill, composer and executive producer, will give a two-part program, the first with a children’s emphasis, followed by an intermission, and a second part more for teens and adults with a combination of faith and coffee house songs. Jim Newton, director of programs and founder of Hugworks, and Paul Hill, composer and co-executive producer, sing songs of healing and hope for children and their caregivers at Greenville Children’s Hospital in South Carolina. Hugworks, a nonprofit organization based in Hurst, TX, is dedicated to providing emotional support and healing through therapeutic music entertainment and music therapy. The team has presented programs at children’s hospitals and rehabilitation centers throughout the Metroplex and the U.S., and a number of foreign countries.
