Dallas Summer Musicals: The Wizard of Oz at Music Hall at Fair Park

Few musicals delight kids more than The Wizard of Oz, which Dallas Summer Musicals will be presenting as part of a tour with new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber in addition to the original Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg songs. Kids may also enjoy knowing that "Toto," who may be played by Nigel, or his understudy, Loki, are rescue dogs, trained by William Berloni, the man behind some of the biggest four-legged stars on Broadway. Dallas Summer Musicals will host a Kids Club March 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Music Hall at Fair Park lobby with activities and treats at no additional charge.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic, totally reconceived for the stage. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains all the beloved songs from the Oscar-winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
