Where to watch the Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke debate in Dallas-Fort Worth

Voters, Oct. 16 might be your last chance to hear Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic U.S. Representative Beto O'Rourke debate before Election Day.

The two will answer questions for one hour, starting at 8 p.m. Oct. 16. The debate takes place in San Antonio and will be streamed live on dallasnews.com; it will also be shown on WFAA-TV (Channel 8).

Democratic Party events

One of the bigger O'Rourke watch parties is at the Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16. Attendees can buy drinks and snacks, and there's room for several hundred. O'Rourke's website lists many other watch parties. Among them:

The Granada Theater in Dallas is also having a party, hosted by the Funky East Dallas Democrats (a.k.a., the FEDD). If you purchase an entree at Sundown at Granada before the show, you'll get a free drink inside the Granada Theater during the debates.

For O'Rourke events in other cities, check out watch parties at Lakeside Activities Center in Mesquite; Peak Restaurant and Bar in Irving; Outlaw's Barbeque and Grill in Grand Prairie; the Beto for Texas HQ in Plano and Rugby House Pub in Plano; Ellis County Democratic HQ in Waxahachie; Asian Buffet in CleburneTierney's Cafe and Tavern in Lewisville and Studio 507 pop-up in Arlington.

O'Rourke supporters in Arlington are throwing three parties: at a beer garden called Bru City Stadium, at Lucky's Billiards and at LaRoux's Creole Cafe.

In Fort Worth, O'Rourke supporters will gather at Mama's Pizza and Tommy's Hamburgers.

And in Keller, Moviehouse & Eatery is opening a theater to watch the debate. Tickets start at $25 and go to Linsey Fagan's campaign for the U.S. House Texas District 26 seat.

The Dallas Young Republicans are hosting a watch party and bingo in Dallas at the Angelika Film Center. RSVP for it here.

The STAR Republicans are gathering at British Lion Pub in Frisco.

The People's Last Stand at Dallas' Mockingbird Station will be hosting a watch party and offering happy hour pricing during the debate.
