You have to giggle when you think of Paris, Texas, the city that boasts the adorable catchphrase, "Bonjour, y'all!" The city is famous for its replica Eiffel Tower topped off with a red cowboy hat.
But Paris is far from the weirdest Texas town name, if website Estately has anything to say about it. The real estate app company (and aggregator of somewhat useless, usually interesting info such as Texans' most frequently-googled words and a six-point test to determine how miserable your state's Thanksgiving might be) says it looked at "dozens of maps" and chose the oddest-named towns in each state. Look, it isn't science. But it's fun.
It's delicious, too. There's a Bacon, Texas. Also a Beans, Texas. A Noodle, Texas. And an Oatmeal and a Raisin, Texas.
There's Happy, Texas, and Hoop and Holler, Texas, too.
But one of the weirdest? Ding Dong, Texas.
That sure beats Boring, Oregon, and Booger Hole, West Virginia. Texas wins again.
