Pop Tart enchiladas: That's a great idea for a weirdo fried food entry at the State Fair of Texas, home to some of the world's craziest concessions concoctions. But you won't find 'em at the fair this year. That dish you see here, of the fried thingy covered in colored cereal and white drizzle, is deep-fried Froot Loops. Naturally.

In honor of the annual carbo load many Texans (and visitors) enjoy at the State Fair of Texas, we asked Texas transplants to guess some of the new foods at the State Fair of Texas based on photos. They already knew that the State Fair of Texas has sold oddities like fried butter and fried bubblegum. So we asked "What is this?" ... and then laughed. 

Here are their best guesses:

If you watched, you saw that one of our Texas transplants confused too-yellow queso for "apple compote." Naw, that's liquid cheese!
