"A Night of Inspiration & Gospel" will come back to the State Fair of Texas on Thursday, Oct. 5, with two shows.

And local singers can get in on the act by signing up to join the "100 Voice Ecumenical Year of Unity Choir." Clark Joseph will direct the choir.

Get inspired when gospel takes over the main stage on Thursday at State Fair of Texas

The information meeting will be at 6 :30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, with the first rehearsal at 7 at St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church, 5710 E. R.L. Thornton Freeway. Rehearsals are scheduled for every Tuesday in September and Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at St. Luke. The choir will perform during the gospel celebration.

Israel Houghton & New Breed and Myron Williams will headline the annual event. Others scheduled to perform include Chrystal Rucker, Joshuia Drumm and group The Fam. The shows will be at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
