Stars forward Mason Marchment returning to lineup for Game 2 vs. Avalanche

Marchment has missed the last six games with an injury.

The Stars have been in need of production from their top-six forwards all playoffs. On Thursday night, they’ll return one who accounted for more than 20 goals this season to the lineup.

Stars coach Pete DeBoer announced at morning skate that forward Mason Marchment would be back in the lineup for Game 2 vs. the Avalanche after missing six games with an undisclosed injury.

Marchment left the ice in the third period of Game 2 against Vegas with the injury. He has skated with the team regularly over the last week but has not participated in a game since.

“Twenty-plus goals, he’s a big body, he’s got a good skill level,” DeBoer said of Marchment. “He’s played well with [Matt] Duchene and [Tyler] Seguin all year, so we’ve missed him in the lineup in a bunch of different areas.”
