Candice Romo, Meredith Land judge Cowboys Cheerleaders auditions

On Saturday and Sunday at AT&T Stadium, the tryouts and cuts began for the Dallas Cowboys team that never has a losing season--the Cheerleaders. It's the beginning of a tough two-weekend gig that ends next Sunday when the group that will head off to cheerleader training camp is chosen.

The reality TV cameras will capture it all.

CMT is now taping its 11th season of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, its hit show that made DCC director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell into reality stars.

For the judges' panels, people with actual TV chops have been added. In addition to Cowboys VP and co-owner Charlotte Anderson, there is NBC5 anchor Meredith Land, country music star Neal McCoy and former TV news reporter Candice Romo. Sure, Romo is married to Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, but when she was single, she was worked at CW33. (Her brother is former Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford.)

On Saturday morning, several hundred applicants arrived at AT&T Stadium. By midnight, Sunday, the group was pared down to 72 semifinalists.
