Super Bowl 50's beer commercials were a serious buzz kill

Super Bowl 49 had beer commercials to talk about. Super Bowl 50? Nothing to live up to. Here are the beer ads we saw, for better or for worse:

Bud Light

The worst thing about this commercial is having two totally respectable people like Amy Schumer and Seth Rogan represent a mediocre beer with as much gumption as political candidates. The best part? Everything else, especially the plug for the duo's "biggest caucus in the country." Don't worry you can handle it.

Shock Top

Shock Top -- love it or hate it -- dished some sick burns to comedian T.J. Miller. "Hey T.J. ... I like your style, you look like an unemployed Civil War veteran." Classic.

Budweiser had both a hit and a miss during Sunday night's Super Bowl. The winning commercial starred Helen Mirren offering a no-bullshit rant about drunk driving (#GiveADamn). The other attempted to make the brand look exceptional, but with little success -- like any sane person would waste a good beer on spraying a friend in the face?

Beer is not an after-work out drink. People who drink beer know that. Even the fact that the commercial associates itself with a fit culture is offensive.
