You might say that Kenny Goss is a dreamer, but he's apparently not the only one.

He and longtime partner George Michael announced Monday that they are bringing to Dallas the piano on which John Lennon composed the hit song "Imagine" in 1971. Mr. Michael bought the piano at an auction in 2000 for $2.1 million. The upright is one of the most expensive pieces of pop memorabilia ever sold. This is not, however, the familiar white piano.

It has never been outside the United Kingdom but will soon be crated and shipped to Dallas and put on display at Goss Gallery on Cedar Springs Road from Dec. 5 to Jan. 13 as the centerpiece of an exhibition whose theme is world peace. It will feature a video of Mr. Lennon playing the song for the first time to wife Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band.

Showcased will be the work of photographers Don McCullin, Gabriele Basilico and Tomas Munita, who have documented the horror of war. A collector's-edition catalog will be available for sale through Goss Gallery with net proceeds earmarked for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

Barbara Buzzell, the spokeswoman for Goss Gallery, says Mr. Goss and Mr. Michael plan to take the piano and the photographers' portfolio on a tour throughout the U.S. and Europe with venues announced "in the near future."
