The Roots' architect-drummer Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson will undoubtedly have to stop by a phone booth to change into his super-turntablist gear after the band's House of Blues gig tonight. 'Writ Writer' tonight

Today we have DNA tests revealing ever-lengthening lists of innocent men serving time in Texas prisons. Writ Writer, airing at 10 tonight on KERA-TV (Channel 13), takes viewers back to a time (the 1960s and '70s) when prisoners had almost no rights. Through interviews, video and photographs, the hourlong documentary tells the story of Fred Cruz, who transformed himself from hard-luck petty criminal into a jailhouse crusader who changed the way Texas prisons are run.
