BATTLE 360 This new series tells the story of the aircraft carrier that became the most decorated ship of World War II. From the moment the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the U.S.S. Enterprise played a key role in every battle in the Pacific Theater. The premiere episode follows the ship and its crew through the first weeks of the war. (N/CC/HDTV/TVPG) (1 hr.) (9 p.m. HIST)

BONES This episode's mystery, a woman's murder and her child's abduction, is compelling. But watch for the subplot, which has Bones (Emily Deschanel) and her colleagues getting security reviews. Angela (Michaela Conlin) has some odd skeletons, but Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) is miffed that the agent doesn't think he's worth interviewing. (CC/HDTV/TV14) (1 hr.) (7 p.m. Ch. 4)

GREY'S ANATOMY High-school angst hits the Seattle Grace staff when the ER fills up with teenage victims of a school-bus crash. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is hit the hardest; one of the adult chaperons is a guy she tutored in high school. Madeline Zima has a heartbreaking guest turn as the best friend of a badly injured boy. Meredith and Lexie (Ellen Pompeo, Chyler Leigh) clash over a visit from a drunken Thatcher (Jeff Perry). (CC/HDTV/TV14) (1 hr.) (7 p.m. Ch. 8)
