Disc debuts: CDs, DVDs and games being released this week12:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 13, 2008CDs Regina Belle, Love Forever Shines (Pendulum Records) – R&B-jazz singer goes gospel on her latest project, which features guests Melvin Williams of the Williams Brothers and Shirley Murdock. T Bone Burnett, Tooth of Crime (Nonesuch) – A fittingly eclectic musical opus crafted by the award-winning, critically acclaimed and Fort Worth-born singer, songwriter, producer and arranger. Dokken, Lightning Strikes Again (Atco) – Don Dokken and his musical cohort return to the heavy-metal band's roots with its 10th studio set titled after a song on 1985's Under Lock & Key.
Filter, Anthems for the Damned (Pulse) – Cleveland's industrial rockers get dark and political on their follow-up to 2002's The Amalgamut. Bill Frisell, History, Mystery (Nonesuch) – Obscure yet lauded guitarist gets ambitious on this two-CD effort with 30 cuts that meld into each other as if telling a story. Jason Mraz, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things (Atlantic) – Third full-length studio album finds the Virginia-born singer-songwriter delivering a dozen new tunes, including "Lucky" featuring Colbie Caillat. Keith Sweat, Just Me (Rhino) – On his new release, Harlem R&B crooner Keith Crier (nee Sweat) aims to give "the people what they expect from me," he says on his Wikipedia page. 10 Years, Division (Universal Republic) – Fourth disc from Knoxville, Tenn.'s alternative-metal group cranks up the rock power and the atmospheric elements during 13 tracks. Mario Tarradell DVDs The Great Debaters – Denzel Washington stars in this story of historically black Wiley College's triumphant debate team. Set in East Texas. Untraceable – Also unwatchable. Diane Lane and a killer Web site star. Indiana Jones: The Adventure Collection – All three movies in new editions. Also sold separately. Youth Without Youth – Francis Ford Coppola's head-scratching return to independent filmmaking. Mad Money – Katie Holmes, Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah, together at last. The Adams Chronicles – Acclaimed PBS miniseries about the political Adams family. A Raisin in the Sun – P. Diddy up in Lorraine Hansberry's classic. Frank Sinatra: The Early Years, Frank Sinatra: The Golden Years, The Frank Sinatra & Gene Kelly Collection and Sinatra: The Miniseries – A whole lot of Ol' Blue Eyes. Lovejoy: The Complete Season Three – The further adventures of Ian "Deadwood" McShane's sleuthing antiques expert. Lost in Beijing – Tony Leung stars in this artfully erotic lust story. La Chinoise and Le Gai Savoir – A pair of Godard films from the late '60s. Twelfth Night – '70s BBC version of the Shakespeare comedy stars Alec Guinness, Ralph Richardson and other luminaries.
