The number of hometown Jasons on American Idol has been cut to one.
Grand Prairie's Jason Yeager was cut from the show Thursday night, along with Robbie Carrico, Alaina Whitaker and Alexandrea Lushington. (The area's other Jason, Mr. Castro, lives to sing on.)
As Jason Y. fought back emotions, Simon Cowell told him he's "not a bad singer; it's just that you don't stand out." (This exposure should help that.)
Ryan Seacrest then put the sad eliminations into perspective: "No matter how good you are, somebody's got to go every single week until the end."
