Liner Notes: Fort Worth music scene goes Live12:00 AM CST on Thursday, January 3, 2008Lance Yocom already books shows at Hailey's in Denton, 8.0 and Central Market in Fort Worth, and the Cavern here at home, but his company, Spune Productions, has taken on yet another venue. A space in Fort Worth now known as 6th Street Live will become Lola's in late January, and Mr. Yocom will be the man in charge of bringing in local and national music. There's a grand-opening party scheduled for Jan. 23, and the weeks afterward include shows from the Sword (with opening act Record Hop), Astronautalis, Lymbyc Systym and James Hand. This means a lot for Fort Worth's music scene, especially considering the recent loss of the Wreck Room. As mentioned before, Spune also puts on excellent weekly local showcases at 8.0. Tonight is no exception: Glen Farris, 100 Damned Guns and Eleven Hundred Springs take the stage for Spune's "Launch '08." Find out everything you need to know at www.spune.com. Hendrick album news Swoon-worthy Dallas rock band Hendrick (above) is keeping fans updated about the follow-up to its Coldplay-esque 2006 album We Share the Sky. In the latest entry at www.myspace.com/hen drickmusic, lead singer Josh Hendrick says the band is less than a month away from finishing the recording process. "Jay [Briggs] and Aaron [Wardlaw] have a few guitar things they need to finish, and then a special guest vocalist will track a song with me and that will be the end of recording," he writes. While you're online, search "Hendrick" and "Granada" on YouTube and watch the performance video from last week's Granada gig. A guitar gets smashed to pieces at the end. It's both sad and thrilling. Off to the new adventure If you missed Sunday's going-away party for former KDGE-FM DJ Josh Venable, that's it. He's a goner. But there's hope for fans of his defunct indie-rock show The Adventure Club. Check out this short note Mr. Venable posted Tuesday on the show's message board: "I start driving to LA in about eight hours and just wanted to say goodbye. I'll be doing 4P-9P at 98.7 out there. The Adv Club will start back up in February so you can listen online. Thanks for everything. Goodnight." This text is invisible on the page, but this text is affected by the invisible item's flow.
