Oscar moment: Look, ma, one hand!
Remember when the Oscars didn't take themselves so seriously? We do. So we're counting down the five most spontaneous, unhinged, out-of-the-can moments in Oscar history. You may remember No. 5 for its strong-arm tactics. No. 5: Jack Palance, tough guy. Jack Palance was excited when he captured the 1991 Oscar for best supporting actor. So the 72-year-old heart of City Slickers decided to show he was still in shape with a set of push-ups, first with two hands, then with one. "As far as the two-handed push-ups are concerned, you can do that all night," he said. "Doesn't matter if she's there or not." Oscar host Billy Crystal had some post-push-up fun with his Slickers co-star. "Jack just bungee-jumped off the Hollywood sign," he joked later in the broadcast. You go, Jack.
