Buying front-row seats to the upcoming Fashion at the Park at NorthPark could mean your shot at a movie deal.

Designer Georgina Chapman, co-founder of the Marchesa label, is scheduled to be among the heavyweights at Fashion at the Park's Oct. 10 runway extravaganza, "The Future of Fashion."

Back in December, Georgina married movie titan Harvey Weinstein, co-founder of Miramax (named for his parents, Miriam and Max), and the guiding force behind Pulp Fiction, The English Patient, Shakespeare in Love, etc.

Tickets for the Oct. 10-16 Fashion at the Park go on sale today, and those who pony up for the Über Fashion Pass will be invited to dinner at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek with Ms. Chapman, her business partner, Keren Craig, and other designers.

Joule in Fergie's crown

During a quick Dallas visit this week, Sarah, the Duchess of York , got a close look at The Joule, the chic new downtown hotel.

The Joule's manager, Shirley Dunn Hanks, personally showed Fergie around.

The duchess also dined at The Joule's Charlie Palmer eatery.

Urie hits Round-Up

Michael Urie, the locally raised Ugly Betty actor, was in a gregarious mood when back in his hometown last weekend.

On Ugly Betty, Michael plays Marc St. James, the flamboyant personal assistant to Wilhelmina Slater (played by Vanessa Williams ).

Friday night, Michael was spotted at the country-and- western-themed Round-Up Saloon on Cedar Springs, kicking up his heels and posing for pics with fans.

Michael grew up here and before heading off to college at Juilliard, he attended Plano Senior High.

Tex is well-composed

The Grammys or the Oscars are the dream destinations for most students of Dallas' Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. But in an unusual twist, Booker T. alum Felix "Tex" Ventouras, ended up at the Olympics in Beijing – or at least his music did.

Tex, a Highland Park native, composed and arranged music that the American synchronized- swimming team will use in competition.

The team's technical routine featuring Tex's compositions will be broadcast on Aug. 22 and 23.

After a stint at boarding school in Greece, Tex enrolled at Highland Park High School. He later transferred to Booker T., which nourished his interest in composing. He got his degree from the University of North Carolina's School of the Arts and now lives in LA and works with the American Youth Symphony.
